This mod adds the ability for swathers to be able to cut grass (and grass alternatives).
This mod adds additional swathable crops and the ability for swathers to be able to cut grass (and grass alternatives). Swathing Plus is compatible with all swathing headers/equipment including the Macdon pack.
Supported Swathed Crops:
- Sorghum
- Long Grain Rice
Supported Mowed Crops (if available on map):
- Grass
- Alfalfa
- Clover
- Field Grass
- Vetch Rye
- Green Rye
In addition, all specialty/alternative grass types include a yield bonus (20%) over conventional grass.

Hello,
Is it possible to add rye and spelt? I'm playing on the RiverBendSprings4XEditByStevie map and it doesn't work with these two crops.
Possibly, I need to look into it first as many of the maps that have rye and spelt used the new crops prefab and that prefab now includes set ups for swathing crops as well (I need to ensure if I add it and a map already has it set up that it doesn't have issues.)
An update for Swathing Plus is next on my list (I am currently taking a little break from modding for the holidays).

Thanks for the heads up, I will have to double check (maybe they changed the growth stages, I could have sworn I checked this one). A lot of maps use different growth stages for alfalfa and clover.
Your mod clashes with the the cannabis dlc v1.2.1 , by not allowing forage harvesters connect to the forage headers.
Try installing FillType Extender. I have not looked into Cannabis DLC, but I am assuming it adds a lot of new fillTypes. If you exceed 255 fillTypes and try to use Swathing+, the script will break the fruiTypeManager which is responsible for telling mowers and forage harvesters how to work/attach.
Yah that does seam to be the issue, its wild that Giants coded it that way. Can the fill type extender be edited to go to 600 or higher?
I am not entirely sure if it is Giants or my mod, I assumed it was because my mod uses overwrite coding which seems to be more or less deleting basegame info when it has an issue, but I also heard of someone else having this same fillType issue and he was not using any scripts that call the fruitTypeManager functions so who knows.
So, basegame with no DLCs or mods has about 170 fill types with 255 max. Bumping up to 511 should give more than enough but in theory it is just as easy to go to 1023 (going in between like 600 is actually harder lol). I thought that was a bit excessive and in theory, the bigger I make that limit there could be performance issues....in theory.
In theory. I will get the file edited and let you know how it goes.
all you need to do is change the "NUM_BITS" in the LUA to 10. I doubt it will cause any noticable performance hit.
I'm getting the following error using Tractor Swathing on Clover.
Error: Could not find motion path effect for settings (Class: 'CutterMotionPathEffect', numRows: 32, rowLength: 42, fruitType 'CLOVER', growthState '4')
Technically clover is not compatible with Tractor Swathing, you must be using Swathing+ as well. What map are you seeing this on so I can confirm the growth states. It seems like a lot of the maps with alfalfa and clover have different growth states set-ups.
Thanks for the fast reply! I'm using both Tractor Swathing and Swathing+ (I have almost all of your mods installed). I'm on Judith Plains Montana 4X. I just tested on a new save with only Tractor Swathing, Swathing+ & Easy Dev Controls enabled and got the same error.
Judith is one of a handful of maps I have now that I check things but I must have not checked that one when i first made Swathing+. Can confirm, Judith clover is harvest ready at state 4 where my mod is set to look for state 5. Easy fix but I am also looking into another issue and don't want to push another hotfix until I sort that one out.

I have all the swathing mods
My go to baler is AgriFlex SPB never once had a problem awesome mod
yes the mod is in the list go to the windrower section and its not listed
This mod does not add any additional shop items so you need to also have a swathing mod or the Macdon DLC active as well. Once it is active, you should see grass, sorghum, and long grain rice as availible crops on the bottom info panel when looking at a swathing header.
II have downloaded this mod and update it several times but it still show up in my game?
Are you saying the mod doesn't show on your mod list or it let's you select it and it is not working in game?
I'm not sure if it's the latest DLC or not, but Sorghum isn't able to be swathed, and doesn't leave straw either. I enabled the DLC, but disabled it after finding this, and it's still not working.
yes is partly related to the last DLC. Straw Harevst added 7 new fill types to the game and it seems to have pushed a lot of players past the 255 base game limit for fill types.
Swathing sorghum adds another fill type and if other mods are causing the game to exceed 255, than Swathing+ will not have its needed fill types to work. This also causes a handful of other issues too.
To fix it, try installing my new mod FillType Extender, this will allow the game to have 511 fill types. Let me know if that still doesnt fix it!

something in this is not allowing me to attach forage harvester heads at least since the straw harvest dlc
That's really odd, nothing in here should be messing with attacher nodes or types.
Are you able to send me the log on Discord? Preferably right after trying to attach a header.
i would but the logs clear for it thats what made me confused clean log and all the nodes where correct it just wont let me attach any of the headers beside the swath picker says the rest of the heads are incompatible
What makes you think it is Swathing+ causing the problem? Unless I am not understanding your issue, I just tried on my end and have no issues so possibly a different mod conflict?
2k mods spent 4 hrs going through them all it only occurred with this one installed even happened with just this installed and nothing else im assuming its a conflict with something in the straw harvest that was just released because i didnt have problem till that
I just tested again on three maps, Swathing+ and Straw Harvest the only mods on and I have no issues 🤔.
What other script mods do you have installed? I sent you a discord message too if that is easier.
Hey Jack, I think I found the issue.
Do you have the Supermarket Productions mod or other mods that add alot of custom production fillType? I have been able to replicate this issue when using too many mods that exceed the 255 limit for fillTypes.
Not showing up in my farms
